iOS contractor in London
Native iOS development since 2013, in Swift, SwiftUI, UIKit and Objective-C, for teams that need a senior engineer inside their project.
What I do on iOS
- Contract development. Day-rate work inside your team, in Swift or on an older Objective-C codebase.
- Build and release automation. Fastlane, GitHub Actions and self-hosted Mac build machines, with code signing and TestFlight set up once and documented.
- Code audits and app takeovers. A written review of an existing codebase, or picking up an app from a previous developer and bringing it up to date. More about audits and takeovers.
- App Store releases. Finding out why an update was rejected and what can be changed, and keeping releases routine.
iOS work you can check
- Senior iOS Developer at Haiilo, 2021–22: iOS development in Swift on its employee-communications app, and the build and release automation behind its branded-app line, where every customer app is generated from one codebase.
- A regulated UK health-tech iOS app, 2014–15: top contributor, and for five months its sole iOS developer.
- Lead iOS engineer on a US social-video start-up’s app, 2015–16.
- My own apps: Enria, a native Swift and UIKit period tracker with two-way Apple Health sync, and Weeklie, with 2.5 million iOS downloads and an Apple Watch app.
