Flutter and iOS code audits

Before you take over an app, plan a big feature or grow the team, a written review of the codebase from someone who has maintained live apps since 2014.

What I look at

  • Architecture and state management. How the app is put together, and whether it will carry the next year of features.
  • Dependencies and SDK versions. What is out of date, unmaintained or blocking an upgrade.
  • Build and release. Whether anyone on the team can produce a release reliably, or only one laptop can.
  • Tests and crash-prone areas. What is covered, what breaks and where.
  • Security basics. Secrets in the repository, network calls and data stored on the device.

What you get

A written report in which every finding is ranked by risk and by the effort to fix it, with a recommended order of work. On request, a call to walk your team through it.

The audit only needs read access to the code, and nothing in your repository is changed. I’m happy to sign an NDA before you share anything.

Why me

I have done technical reviews of products for HeKu IT and its clients, and I maintain copy_with_extension, a Dart code generator the Dart team’s documentation lists among the most-used. My own apps have shipped more than 250 App Store versions since 2014, so I know what an app looks like after years of changes, and what it takes to keep one healthy.

Tell me about the codebase

A few lines are enough: what the app does, where it stands and what you need. I’ll reply by email.
